This course provides an overview of special education, focusing on understanding diverse learner needs, legal and
ethical considerations, assessment and intervention strategies, and inclusive classroom practices. Students will
explore disabilities, support services, and effective teaching methods to promote equitable environments. Emphasis is
placed on understanding the roles of educators, families, and support teams in creating effective learning
environments for all students. Ten hours of observations are required.
