RA 106 - Radiologic Science I

Prerequisite: RA 100 .
Corequisite: RA 125

This course is intended to educate the student on the basics of atomic structure and atomic theory, electromagnetic spectrum, components of the x-ray tube and mechanisms of x-ray production, interactions with matter, concepts of image production and digital image receptors, and manipulation of radiographic exposure technique and scatter control.  Exercises in mathematical concepts and laboratory experiences are included to demonstrate application of concepts.
