This course introduces the field of abnomal psychology and behavioral health. The historical progression, theoretical perspectives, and complexities of mental health and mental illness will be examined, including the impact felt by individuals, families, and society. Emphasis will be placed on the various forms of psychological disorders, with particular attention to the numerous complexities involved in their prevention, identification, and treatment.
