ED 224 - The Exceptional Child3 Credit Hours Lecture Hrs. 3
This course examines ways to introduce and sensitize the student to the expectations that occur in the development of children. It offers material on the disturbed (emotional, social, and behavioral), the disabled (physical, mental, and sensorial), those with specific learning difficulties, and the gifted. In addition, it presents referral sources for diagnosing, treating, and educating these exceptionalities. 15 hours of observation are required.
