This course provides business and non-business majors with the basic skills necessary to succeed as an entrepreneur. The course explores the attributes of creativity and innovation in order to address solutions to problems and find opportunity in any field. The focus is on creative thinking and the generation of ideas that may transform into new business ventures. Students will explore the entrepreneurial process of creating value in their community by applying creativity and innovation to find solutions to issues they identify. The fundamentals of starting and operating a business, developing a business plan, obtaining financing, marketing a product or service, and developing an effective accounting system will also be covered.
