MA 101 - Medical Assisting I3 Credit Hours Corequisite: MA 100 , MA 105 , and MA 106 . Lecture Hrs. 3
This course introduces the student to theory and techniques of electrocardiography, medical laboratory procedures, urinalysis, capillary punctures, blood typing, phlebotomy, and blood chemistry. Administrative skills also include: medical records management, and patient charting, documentation of medical information, medical transcription, communication skills, coping skills, as well as legal and ethical considerations.
