Introduction to Education and the Classroom explores teaching as a career. Students are introduced to the content
knowledge and skills needed to be an effective educator. Students will investigate the roles and responsibilities of an
educator, issues related to school and community, and the importance of developing a positive and inclusive culture
in the classroom and throughout the school. This is the first course in the series that meets the West Virginia Grow
Your Own Pathway to Teaching program standards.
