ED 206 - Intro to Social, Emotional, & Behavioral Wellness3 Credit Hours Prerequisite: ED 205 This course prepares students as future educators to examine the social and emotional needs of students and how to
address non-academic barriers to learning. Students will be introduced to the effects of trauma, adverse childhood
experiences, and effective classroom management strategies to create a positive classroom environment. Activities
will include insight into how to collaborate with families, local support agencies, and the community to provide multitiered
systems of support in the classroom and school. A clinical experience is required as part of the course
completion and each student must complete 50 hours of clinical experience. This is the fourth course in the series
that meets the West Virginia Grow Your Own Pathway to Teaching program standards. Offered As Scheduled Grading Basis Normal Grading Mode
