This course is designed to teach techniques of patient history taking, physical examinations, patient assessment, clinical decision-making, communication, and documentation in the pre-hospital setting. This course will also review principles of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, advanced life support monitoring, treatments, and interventions, including
airway management, for complex medical conditions, at the Paramedic level. An emphasis will be placed on cardiac emergencies and respiratory emergencies. Extensive lab time will be spent on learning and practicing these skills. Clinical II will also run concurrently with this course. Proficiency skills will be assessed accordingly and recorded in the student’s Master Portfolio. Offered As Scheduled Grading Basis Normal Grading Mode
